Goisot 2022 Saint-Bris Exogyra Virgula, Burgundy

Saint Bris is the one area in Burgundy where they are permitted to grow Sauvignon Blanc and the wines often show a little more weight than Sauvignon Blanc from other regions. Goisot seems to get so much more character than most. Incredibly layered, the wine keeps unfolding in the glass. Citrus rind, cold, wet stones, hints of passionfruit and some blooming white flowers. Nice weight on the palate with plenty of crispy zip. Think seafood, salads, goat cheeses and simple chicken dishes. Or just drink the sassy little thing.
