Guillume Gonnet was able to combine his two passions by travelling around Australia and New Zealand to surf, and learn to make wine. Now home in his native Rhone Valley, with his Australian wife, he doesn’t see much surfing but he is putting his learned skills to work making wine. His Cotes du Rhone is one of our best selling wines in the store and this meaty Tavel is a very happy addition. Made from Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah this is classic Tavel. Hearty from color to aromatics, texture and flavor. Wild strawberry, raspberries, beefy notes with some stone fruit and dried herbs. Plenty of weight here so don’t be afraid to serve it up with hearty dishes and even exotic spiced foods.
