Henri Bourgeois is a 10th generation winemaker and a major producer of premium Sauvignon Blanc (and Pinot Noir) in the Loire Valley. The estate is based in the village of Chavignol (famous for its goat cheese). Bourgeois owns about 120 plots throughout the Loire Valley, specifically in Sancerre, Pouilly-Fume, Quincy, Mentou-Salon.
Henri Bourgeois farms some of the best terrior in the Loire Valley, working a mosaic of many vine plots. Each terroir expresses itself in its own way, whether based on Kimmeridgian marl, flint, or limestone soils - or a combination.
Aromatic and concentrated! Aromas and flavors of grapefruit, gooseberries, pineapple, thyme and minerals. Rich and expressive on the palate with stone fruit, citrus, herbs, grass, and snappy mineralty. Pair with fish, shellfish, sushi.
