Description
The Henri Clerc estate dates back to the 16th century but was purchased by Vincent Girardin in 2002 so the focus on making exceptionally high quality white and red Burgundy and farming biodynamically. This Puligny-Montrachet is a swoon inducing white Burgundy of perfect balance. Both tropical with whisps of vanilla and poached stone fruit but leveled out with laser focused acidity and blooming white flowers. Magnificent curve in the mouth but with exacting acidity. The wine floats across the palate, leaves sumptuous fruit then the acidity acts like a squeeze of freshness. Drinking now but will bulk up and put on more curve with a year or two in the bottle.
The Wine Country.
