Herve Azo 2020 Petit Chablis, Burgundy

I almost feel silly writing this wine up as it already has a massive following but, well, I figured for those of you that have yet to discover this little gem, it was my duty to let you in on it. Azo has been a label here at The Wine Country for over two decades now. The wines have always offered a tremendous amount of truly expressive terroir and regionality and often at half what the larger houses charge. Petit Chablis is always just a little lighter, less briny but you still get the expression of the region, for less money and with less assertiveness. Here you get racy citrus, cold white stones, some green herbal notes, and tons of ripe green apple. Light on the palate with a playful little tang on the finish. Bring on the seafood!
