Brother Francois and Pierre Hure developed the 4 Elements tier of their small production Champagne house, the concept, all one vintage, one variety, vineyard and vision, an effort to showcase specific sites and how each variety expresses itself in those sites. They make one from Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and this delicious Pinot Noir. On the nose there is sturdy red fruit, salted pie dough and a scrape of citrus oil. You can feel the powerful Pinot Noir texture on the palate which is brimming with cooked red fruit. You also get more doughy notes though it is not that yeasty style. While the wine is firm and ample there is the most delightful bead of tiny, tiny bubbles. This is a tiny production so don't miss out, get yours asap!
