Another one of those long-term family domaines in Burgundy, dating back to the early 1700s which makes it one of the oldest in Marsannay. All the fruit for this pretty and agreeable wine comes from vined averaging between 20-40 years in age and everything is hand harvested. The domaine has been certified organic since 2008, so we are getting fruit from happy, healthy soils. 2014 was a classic vintage, meaning higher acidity, so the time this wine has spent in the bottle has helped it settle into itself very nicely. Getting some caramelized orange rind on the nose along with some toasted brioche. Rich and coating on the palate with nice curved fruit and gentle acidity. Simple fish preparation or roast chicken would love this gorgeous wine.
