This wine is 85% Marselan grapes, 8% Merlot grapes, and 7% Petit Verdot grapes. The wine grapes were hand-picked at optimal ripeness from two of Israel’s finest wine growing regions – Judaean Mountains and Zikhron Ya’akov. The wine has aged for 10 months in French oak barrels.
Marselan is a French crossmatch between Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache. It was first introduced in 1961 by Paul Truel, near the French town of Marseillan. It was designed for the Languedoc region of France, but its popularity has extended its reach to the Middle East, California and beyond.
This wine is Kosher for Passover and Non Mevushal.
