Joseph Vocat 2019 Dole "Pere Mayor", Switzerland

We get to taste very few Swiss wines here in The United States, the two biggest reasons being that only 2% of the wine grown in Switzerland get exported and with Swiss currency being high, the ones we do see are often quite expensive. This Pinot Noir Gamay blend is such a treat. Grown in high altitude limestone soils there is a brilliant nerve and energy to this dry red. Light body but packed with fresh flavor. Light enough to serve with hearty chicken and seafood dishes but really shines with cheese and cured meats.
