La Petite Perriere 2020 Pinot Noir, Loire Valley

The Saget family, that own this winery/label have many holdings in France and have been working vines since 1790. While this is 100% Pinot Noir, it is a blend of two appellations. Most of the fruit comes from the Touraine region in the Loire Valley, but some also comes from the south of France and then the two are blended. This is a bright and cheerful Pinot Noir. Tart red cherries, cranberry, gentle spice, and a waft of smoke. Light bodied with a tangy finish, this wine wants savory nibbles to bring out more fruit.
