Coming from thirty-year-old vines grown up at 3'000 altitude in the La Consulta vineyard in the famous Mendoza region in Argentina, the iconic Catena family and esteemed winemaker Estela Perinetti collaborate to make this wine. A blend of 60% Malbec , 20% Syrah and 20% Bonarda, this is a delightful fruit-forward  red wine, featuring bright berry and cherry aromas and flavors, with a light overlay of mocha and spice. Wonderfully mouth-filling with delicious flavors but not at all heavy, there is plenty of lip-smacking fruit and also balancing acidity to keep things clean and fresh on the generous palate and on the satisfying finish. It has food-friendly 13.5% alcohol and just the right amount of oak seasoning, with 60% of the wine seeing 8 months in 2nd use French oak. Amazingly gulp-able!
