Organic/Biodynamic. Oxidized dry white wine from the Roussillon in the south for France. Quite nerdy but wicked cool, "rancio" which is a term for the nutty, candied fruit aromas and flavors of Sherry. Named Cioran, a writer that was known for his blunt and straightforward, multi-textured style.Wildly aromatic and intense with layers that go on forever. The Grenache Gris, Grenache Blanc and Macabeu for this wine are picked at the same time as Le Roc Des Anges dry white wines, so this is a bone dry oxidative wine that reminds us of wines from France's Jura. Big mouthfeel, rich and long, this is a wine that feeds the inner wine nerd and is amazing with cheeses.
