Description

The great Meursault vintner Dominique Lafon acquired a Macon estate a few decades ago, producing beautifully crafted white wines from leading villages in the region, including Pouilly-Fuisse and St-Veran. The impeccable winemaking is evident here, with fruit from several vineyards melding beautifully structured Chardonnay with fine French oak, adding a sophisticated spiciness to the wine. I reach for this wine whenever we are serving roast chicken at home.
