Les Heritiers du Comte Lafon 2022 Macon-Milly-Lamartine, Burgundy

Organic and biodynamically farmed 35 year old vines, this is always the most forward and generous, when young, of all the wines from Dominique Lafon’s wines from Macon. Dominique and his family purchased the domaine in France’s Maconnais region back in 1999 and winemaker Caroline Gon came on board not long after and continues to work closely with Dominique on producing wines that are focused, full of freshness and without too much oak. Here you get bright stone fruits, some floral notes and a lift of citrus on the finish. Roast up a chicken or poach some white fish and dive in.
