Lunaria 2020 "Ancestrale" Pinot Grigio Pet-Nat, Biodynamic, Abruzzo Italy
A familiar earthiness, sometimes considered Brett, is very aromatic and is a welcoming smell to fans of wines made with wild yeast. While there is still some brettiness on the palate, it is subdued by notes of peach and hints of lemon peel. The peach adds a subtle richness and body to the wine while the lemon peel introduces a zippy and slightly tart characteristic to the party. A very well rounded wine, it hits a lot of marks Natural Wine drinkers are looking for.
