Back in 2008 Benoit Marguet began putting aside his very best parcels to bottle separately in an effort to show the unique accent, or terroir, to specific vineyards. This Les Crayeres is the result of that vineyard selection, by one of the most exacting winemakers in Champagne, so in this bottle you find the power, density, texture and amplitude that the likes of Dom Perignon and Cristal can only dream of achieving. Comprised of 57% Pinot Noir and 43% Chardonnay, this extremely rare Champagne is an absolute stunner. Baked apples and pears with some golden raisin and holiday spice on the nose. A gorgeous lemongrass flavor on the palate along with some toasted bread dunked in sweet cream. Really big Champagne with tons of savory food pairing ability and a body built for aging.
