The soils in the Douro are rich with schist which impart a wonderful and familiar flavor to people that loves the reds of France's Loire Valley. Made from local varieties, Touriga Nacional, Touriga France and Tinta Roriz with average vine ages of 50-80 years and all aging is done in stainless steel so this wonderfully deep red retains its freshness and lift. Hints of dark fruit, coco powder and a touch of bright mineral linger on the delectable finish.
