Fuller bodied dry white from the Southwest of France, a region named Gaillac. Made from mostly Mauzac with some Muscadelle, (no, not Muscat). Fuller curve in the mouth but with tongue vibrating acidity to keep everything in balance.
Mary Taylor says this is one of her, "Most intellectual wines" and with all these layers and complexity you can see why she says that. Made from mostly Mauzac with a little Muscadelle added this wine offers the best of both worlds, full, sexy, round fruit with intrigue from fresh cut herbs and then, this blast of tongue vibrating acidity. Hard to keep my hands off it long enough to even think about what to serve it with. Pressed I would say grilled fish, stronger flavored seafood, punchy chicken or with someone cool enough to get how wildly fun this wine is.
