Mazzolada 2020 Sauvignon Blanc Lison Pramaggiore, Veneto Italy

The denomination (DOC) of Lison-Primaggiore is located near Venice in the Veneto wine region of northeast Italy. The region now includes a range of styles, growing from its original Tocai and Cabernet-based wines to a range of styles, sparkling, still, red, white, and aged riservas. This 100% Sauvignon Blanc wine is a real find. Grapes are grown on relatively flat, well-drained limestone and clays.  Grapes are softly pressed, with skins separated from the must immediately.

The aromas of this wine are very unique ranging from floral notes to yellow peppers, to honeydew melon, citrus and bananas with a slightly creamy texture. Pair with ham dishes, pastas with white sauces, river fish.
