Review Moorooduc Estate 2016 Robinson Vineyard Pinot Noir, Australia
Moorooduc Estate 2016 Robinson Vineyard Pinot Noir, Australia
Bright garnet colour, with refreshing aromas of tangy sour red cherries and pomegranate. There is a touch of rhubarb and the classic Robinson floral notes expressed here as red rose petals and woodland violets. On the palate the fruit is red and bright, with cherries and wild raspberries flooding the tongue. Tangy raspberry acidity plays well with the silky, yet firm tannins and the finish is long and pure. A delicious match to pine mushroom risotto and confit duck leg. Will cellar well and develop more savoury mushroom notes for at least 10 years.
