Pascal Aufranc 2019 Chenas "Vignes de 1939" Beaujolais

All the fruit for this Chenas comes from vines on Pascal’s property which gives him the benefit of not having neighbor’s vineyard practices interfere with his clean and sustainable farming. There is a lot of stuffing here which I guess is to be expected seeing as the Gamay vines here were planted in 1939! Plenty of flinty, peppery notes encapsulated in soft, supple, grapey fruit. Round, forward, juicy and a perfect partner for everything from seafood to grilled meats.
