Podere La Pace 2017 Pittoresco Maremma Toscana, Tuscany

This earthy blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc comes from the coastal region of Tuscany, just south of where some of Italy’s most expensive wines are produced.  Podere La Pace is a newer family run winery, starting in 2011 and focus on French varieties and Super Tuscan blends.   ‘Pittoresco’ is medium bodied yet deep with dark red plum fruits and notes of vanilla and oak spice. Quite a lot of wine for the price!
