A blend of fruit from predominately Wenzlau Vineyard, which we have a long-term lease and now farm. The wine is a combination of barrel and tank fermentation, with the majority in barrel raised in larger 500L puncheon.
Description
Racines is a new collaboration between two titans of French wine, (Étienne de Montille and Rodolphe Péters), and Tyler's Justin Willett. The project is a first venture beyond France from these two greats, and represents the coming togetherof all that is wonderful about Burgundy, Champagne and California.
These wine confirm something many have long suspected: that if you are looking to make exceptional cool-climate, french-style wines in the new world, the Santa Rita Hills is the place.
