Thomas Frissant "Le Chapeau Comte" 2023 Sauvignon Blanc, Loire

A late afternoon stop by from a favorite sales rep had us sitting across the table from the wines of Thomas Fissant. A young winemaker that first traveled the world working in wineries and learning his trade before returning home to France’s Loire Valley. His wines provide classic Loire flavors, fantastic packaging and astounding bang for your buck. Organically grown, this Sauvignon Blanc drinks far more exciting than many of the, now pricy, Sancerre, (also Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc) that we have been tasting as of late. Tropical, lush, bursting with citrus and flowering greens, with just the perfect amount of acidity to corset this juicy white. Lesson in balance this is.
