Torre Zambra 2021 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo "Colle Maggio", Abruzzo Italy

The grapes for this wine come from the south facing, clay soil, ‘Colle Maggio’ hillside which produces a deeper, more complex Montepulciano wine.  You’ll notice even the color of the wine is almost black.  A short stint in new and used oak adds even more complexity and structure to this rich wine.  It’s dense with wild black and purple berries and rounded out with cocoa, earth and some oak spice.   This one calls for a richer meat sauce, BBQ or grilled meats.

This 4th generation family run winery is certified organic as of 2018.
