Delightful Pinot Noir rose with just a touch of residual sugar but is bone dry, hence the label art. Aromas of fresh raspberries, roses, and earthy minerality. Pair with appetizers, smoked fish, salmon, light chicken and veal dishes.
The name Von Buhl is synonymous with quality. Von Buhl buys grapes from their fellow winemakers for use in their negociant wines, treating them as if they were their own - with extreme care and attention. For their estate wines, all grapes are farmed organically, using only the classic Alsace grapes Riesling or Pinot Noir.
Von Buhl offered two different labels for the Rose this vintage, one the traditional and one with this wicked cool, somewhat feminine skull label. We couldn’t resist going for the latter as it is so damn cool looking. This is probably the driest of all the German Roses we have right now. Buckets of super tangy red cherries, lime zest and minerals. This ain’t your Real Housewives Rose. This is for the fans of zing and high acidity for sure. Pair with fattier foods to bring out all its elegance.
