Beckmen Vineyards 2022 Sauvignon Blanc Estate, Santa Ynez

Most grapes for this wine are harvested from the hillsides of our Biodynamic certified Purisima Mountain Vineyard. The hillsides tend to stress the vines a bit more, and our wine is made from a vineyard that yields an average of 3 tons per acre, which is not much in the world of Sauvignon Blanc. Sauvignon Blanc on Purisima tends to ripen a bit slower than most of the SB in the region, but that added “hang-time” adds to the flavor and textural development of the finished wine, while the limestone soils insure great acidity.
