Arnaud Lambert 2024 Saumur Breze "Midi", Loire Valley

If a Loire Chenin Blanc region were to achieve Grand Cru status, a good case could be made for the crystalline minerality from Brézé’s chalky and clay soils.  The vineyard for this wine was planted in the 1970s, and with a pedigree like that, Arnaud Lambert has emerged as one of the white wine superstars of Brézé.  With the 2024, he has fashioned a brilliant dry white wine of impressive purity, well-structured, with an impeccable finish.  The wine offers a classic aroma and a pleasurable flavor with solid minerality and enough fruit to provide balance.  There is a lot of excitement these days for Lambert’s wines, and the 2024 Midi will demonstrate why.
