Domaine de Bellene 2021 Nuits-Saint-Georges, "Vieilles Vignes", Burgundy

Nicolas Potel started this estate in 2005, suggested by growers that thought he should have a hand in every aspect of making making, including farming. He has the highest level environmental responsibility, and a very traditional, elegant style. Here you get all the muscle from Nuits-Saint-Georges, that nice dark fruit, but there is a underbrush, earthiness that adds even more complexity. Quite graceful and this wine has many, many more years left in it.
