J. Mourat 2024 Val de Loire Rosé Collection, Loire Valley

This is one of those wines it seems silly to write about each vintage as it already has a built in group of savvy customers that have been buying it all year long for many vintages now, but for those of you yet to discover this Loire Valley super-value Rose, time to introduce you to J. Mourat.  Made from a blend of Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc and Negrette this is a generous but nicely restrained Rose. Plenty of citrus, mostly pink grapefruit, on the nose with some minerals and a faint earthy note. Mouth tingling acidity and energy make this one of those Roses that you had better have extra bottles on hand because the bottle is empty before you know it.
