Daniel Chotard 2021 Sancerre "Cuvee Marcel Henri", Loire Valley
A blend of multiple vineyards, the oldest vines they own and is aged an extra year for more depth and layering. Crazy complexity on the nose, the wine goes from being slightly tropical, to something sort of feral, wild, wet and unwashed, like the way skin tastes after a day in the ocean. Has me thinking about eating a ripe peach, the juice dripping down my arm that is still covered in the faint, dusty chalk of ocean water. Who doesn’t want that memory in a glass? Better gran two bottles, grill up some seafood and dream of summers to come.
