Denis & Didier Berthollier 2022 Chignin Vieilles Vignes Vin de Savoie, France

An uber-refreshing white made from organic and biodynamically farmed Jacquere from 80-year-old vines. Pale in color but bursting with big, crunchy flavor. Stone fruits, green apple and fresh packed snow on the nose and palate. There is some richness here, likely from the vine age, but that supple and round fruit is framed by a lovely acidity that keeps everything in balance. Think lake fish, cheeses, or cured meats. Nice for big salads, especially those with pungent cheeses sprinkled throughout.
