Domaine Maratray-Dubreuil 2022 Ladoix Vieilles Vignes, Burgundy

This level of red Burgundy at this price is remarkable enough but finding one this loveable and classic is damn near unheard of these days. The Pinot Noir is grown in the marl and limestone soils of Ladoix and come from some of the oldest vines the domaine owns. Fifteen months in 20% new French oak gives the wine a little creamy and toasted character. Light and easy on the palate with just enough spice and slightly green hints let you know you are drinking Pinot Noir from Burgundy.
