The first thing of note is the round mouthfeel the wine has. It coats your palate and allows the flavors to be highlighted individually. Hints of fennel and anise bring a spice characteristic that many wouldn’t expect from Chardonnay, while lighter, those spice qualities do stand out. Subtle stone fruit and subtle minerality help the wine connect to the rounded mouthfeel and balance out the spices. The light white finishes refreshing on the palate.
