Domaine Nicolas Rossignol 2022 Volnay "Origines", Burgundy

When I asked Nicolas, (I call him Nico) Rossignol what the “Origines” on this label meant he replied, “Origines refers to the origin of the estate’s old Volnay vines. A Blend of several plots with exceptional genetics, small bunches of very small, highly concentrated berries” straight from the man himself. Old “berries” or vines, give wine a tremendous concentration and complexity. This 2022 is just beautifully woven together. Silky red fruit, dried earth, smoky meat, black currant and spice. The finish here is breathtakingly long and just thinking about it now makes me want another glass. Only got 6 bottles
