Domaine Saint Germain "Crac Boum'Bu" 2022 White Blend, Savoie

Such a playful label I first thought this must me a natural, or “Natty” wine as they always have fun labels, and while this wine is organic and biodynamic, it is very clean and has none of those aromatics you can find in a lot of “natty” wines. Made from Jacquere, Chardonnay and Malvoisie and from the Savoie. This fleshy white smells like a freshly cut melon and apples, along with a freshness that reminds me of a rushing stream. Like water over stones. I adore the texture on this wine, it smells so racy that you might expect it to be lean but there is some serious texture and a little chew here, which makes it fun for sipping, but also gives us lots of options for pairing. Seafood, chicken, hearty cheeses, egg dishes and even roasted veggies.
