Domaine Virely-Rougeot 2022 Pommard, Burgundy

Domaine Virely-Rougeot came about when a couple got married, one with family land in Meursault, and the other with family holdings in Pommard. A small production winery making really classic wines for really fair prices. This Pommard has the classic muscle and breadth that the village is renowned for. Lacquered with sweet red fruits, smoke, underbrush and cassis. Full in the mouth but anything but heavy. Great texture with super fine tannins. Will be wonderful over the next ten years but is generous now to drink with a little decanting.
