Dos Maderas Aged Rum 5+3 Years Old

Dos Maderas rums are new to The Wine Country, but what a major find for us! Distillates are created in various Caribbean islands, then shipped to the sherry district in Spain where they are aged in used sherry barrels until they are rich tasting and mellow. The 5 + 3 name means 5 years in one oak, then transfered for 3 years into another. The Barbados & Guyana rum blend is richly flavored, with hints of vanilla. The label looks artisan, and the flavor feels the same.
