Dow's 2016 Vintage Porto, Portugal

Dow’s 2016 Port stays true to their traditional style of muscular and slightly drier ports.  I love the contrast between the seductive, flowery potpourri aromas of this port and how deep, rich and powerful it is on the palate with dark berries and hints of chocolate, orange peel and spice.   Dow’s port is impressively structured yet still approachable at this early age. -Kevin Lepisto, Buyer

The grapes in this port are mostly Tourigna Franca (about 50%) and Touriga Nacional (about 30%), with the remaining port grapes filling out the blend, all from mostly old vines. Very expressive and sophistocated - a gem for port lovers and newcomers alike. Pair with berry or chocolate desserts, Stilton and similar blue cheeses.
