Emilio Bulfon 2024 Cianorie Rosso, Friuli, Italy

Emilio Bulfon is a very small producer in the Friuli region of northeastern Italy who produces wines from local, almost extinct, grapes.  Cianorie is one of those grapes he brought back to life and I’m so glad he did.    His Cianoros is medium bodied and fruit forward wine with red cherries and raspberries.  He does some whole cluster fermentation to add a little texture and complexity to this easy drinking wine.
