Description

Herbert Weis runs both a hotel/restaurant and a winery while being at all times an extremely generous host! His Kaseler Nies'chen (Grand Cru) Ruwer Rieslings exhibit sheer elegance and finesse that duly compete with the big boys in the neighborhood such as: Maximin Grünhaus, Karthäuserhof and von Kesselstatt. Herbert merged his father ́s estate Weingut Weis with the Erben von Beulwitz property in 1982 when he purchased it from the former owner.

Aged in a combination of stainless steel tanks and old large wooden vats, this Grosses Gewächs Riesling is softly textured, well-balanced and complex. Notes of lime, peach and mango mingle with stony minerality of crushed pebbles which gives the wine a crunchy backbone. The finish lingers with mouthwatering citrus flavors.

The Wine Country.
