Frontonio 2023 "Microcosmico" Macabeo, Aragon, Spain

Frontonio is a project by Engineer turned Master of Wine Fernando Mora to focus on producing terroir driven wines from old vine Grenache and Macabeo in the Aragon region of Spain.  His ‘Microcosmico’ is produced from 65+ year old Macabeo vines grown on clay & limestone soils.  This is a medium bodied, dry white wine with aromas of apples and citrus.  On the palate it’s dry, with a stony minerality.  Crisp green apple and citrus fruits and slightly herbaceous undertones round out this bright, fresh wine.
