Gabin et Felix Richoux 2021 Irancy "Veaupessiot", Burgundy

The Richous family have been farming in Irancy since 1610, so quite the time vested in the area learning the soils and having each generation add their footprint and viewpoint. This Veaupessiot represents some of the family’s oldest vines and it shows. Deeper everything here. Darker fruit, more richness in the mouth, great saturation and layers of classic red Burgundy on the long but un-clunky finish. Truly stunning wine and we were only able to get a case!
