Gilbert Chon "Tango" Vin Orange, Loire Valley

The Chon family have been growers in the Loire Valley for 13 generations now but this (vintage 2022) their first go around with making Orange wine. Made from sustainably farmed Sauvignon Gris and Chardonnay, 50% of each in fact and there is a lovely freshness to this slightly bitter, but juice filled wine. Peaches, slightly bruised pear, bright, fresh apple and a flash of burnt grapefruit rind. Full of energy paired with a delightfully creamy mouthfeel. Wonderful expression of an Orange wine from the Loire Valley.
