Domaine Glinavos 2021 Paleokerisio Semi-Sparkling Orange Wine 500ml, Greece

This wonderfully gulpable quirky little Greek wine is made from a blend of two indigenous varieties, Debina, a white grape that makes up the majority of the blend and some Vlahiko, a soft and finicky red. Produced in an ancient, (Paleokerisio roughly translates to "Old Fashioned") very natural style, here you get a simple and very soft bubble, far less frothy than Cava, Prosecco or more traditionally consumed sparkling wines.

Pale orange color that almost reminds you of a young Cognac, intensely aromatic with basted yellow apples and brown butter flecked with warm cooking spice. Flirty balance of fruit and tang that makes this a great picnic wine. Something cold, slightly fizzy, just off dry, fruity and with a savory almond like bitter bite.
