This is a nicely textured, dry white with beautiful aromas of citrus flowers and fruit followed by citrus and stone fruits on the palate. It has great freshness and minerality with great length. Quite a lot of wine for the price.
Description
A classic blend of indigenous varieties Viura, Malvasía, Garnacha Blanca, Tempranillo Blanco, Maturana Blanca and Torrontés, the Blanco from Izadi comes from 50–60-year-old bush vines planted on chalky soils in Rioja Alavesa.
Izadi is a relatively newer producer in Rioja Alavesa founding Izadi in 1987. Their style is a mix of modern and traditional producing plush, refined and elegant wines that still stay true to Rioja.
