Jaffurs 2022 Viognier, Bien Nacido Vineyard, Santa Maria Valley

Viognier is grown at Bien Nacido Vineyard in the Santa Maria Valley. This cool-climate site gives us ripe fruit while maintaining high natural acidity. Classic Viognier aromatics of star jasmine, white peach, and honeysuckle. Fleshy on the palate, showing apricot and passionfruit. Malolactic fermentation was blocked after 50% to maintain freshness in the wine. A vivacious finish, with lingering flavors of citrus zest and ginger.
