The grapes are sourced from the village of Menatou-Salon and I was floored by the price, considering what we have been seeing. Not shy at all, quite green upfront with grapefruit and some tropical fruits as well.
Description

We have seen the numbers of Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc on our importers spreadsheets go from sort of low to being completely zeroed out and the writing on the wall is, it’s going to be really tough to find this coming season. Short vintages and horrific weather have made things like our beloved Sancerre not only nearly impossible to get, they are getting quite pricey. Such a bummer with the warmer weather coming our way. We are all scrambling to have something to offer and we have opted to look to outside places like Sancerre and find little, affordable, zingy whites to delight us. This is just that sort of wine. The grapes are sourced from the village of Menatou-Salon and I was floored by the price, considering what we have been seeing. Not shy at all, quite green upfront with grapefruit and some tropical fruits as well. Not complex, this is a fresh little sipper to serve as an aperitif, with light snacks or simple salads dotted with goat cheese. Get the Merideth Dairy Goat and Sheep Feta from our cheese case, a few bottles of this and lounge in the simple deliciousness.
