Marco Bonfante 2022 Roero Arneis Perste, Piedmont

This medium bodied wine has gorgeous aromas of citrus flowers and stone fruits and zesty flavors of ripe pears, lemon zest and apricots.  It’s bright and elegant with a persistent and slightly nutty finish. Arneis is an indigenous grape to the Piedmont region of Italy that almost went extinct but has had a nice revival and become a customer favorite.

The Bonfante family has been making wine in the Asti province of Piedmont for 8 generations and siblings Marco and Micaela started the Marco Bonfante winery in 2000 when their father died and his winery was divided.
