Mas Des Brousses 2021 Terrasses du Larzac, Languedoc

A fantastic red that comes from a married team of legacy winemakers. On the wife’s side we have a family that has been growing in the region since 1525, on the husband’s, he’s the grandson of Lulu Peyraud, matriarch of the famed Domaine Tempier in Bandol, a region that owes its appellation to the Peyraud family fighting for it. Good bones there to say the very least. Kevin was the first one hit by how compelling the aromatics are on this blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre. Just an aromatic lasagna of layers. Black fruit, dried herbs, cured olives and warm spice all with a medium mouthfeel and super fine tannin. This wine is aching for sausages stewed in a rich beany gravy. So sexy.
